Long Lines Brings Digital Cable to Harrison County
November 19, 2007

SERGEANT BLUFF, IA - Long Lines announced last week that digital cable TV is now available in the communities of Logan, Magnolia, Woodbine, and Missouri Valley.

"When a customer chooses our digital package, they'll still receive the basic lineup, but will also have access to a variety of other programs," says Pat McElroy, Vice President of Business Development.

Long Lines' digital package is complete with numerous sports and outdoor channels, children and family programs, health and home channels, plus pay-per-view, on-demand, and music options. The digital package can also be upgraded to include high definition and premium channels.

"Digital cable gives the customer enhanced options for TV viewing, especially when it comes to high-definition," says McElroy. "With high-definitions, viewers will notice higher picture sharpness, a wider picture, more colors, and digital quality sound. The picture will look more like the movies and add the feeling of realism to TV."

Additionally, the digital cable package offers several unique features including a convenient on-screen channel guide and a digital video recorder (DVR). With an on-screen channel guide, a subscriber can easily view the time of day a show will be on, and also read a brief descriptions about each program. Furthermore, the DVR allows a subscriber to easily record their favorite programs and access them at anytime. Best of all, the DVR acts like a VCR except there is no videotape to hassle with.

In other cable news, Long Lines recently added the Big Ten Network (channel 31) to the basic lineup. The Big Ten Network will broadcast several Iowa basketball games as well as at least two Iowa football games annually.

Long Lines offers unique packages of telephone, television, internet, and wireless service to more than 100 communities in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota. Long Lines is focused on building communication networks that meet the needs of rural communities and urban centers in the Upper Midwest.
